Swarankar Community Udhampur Thanks Modi Govt for inclusion in OBC

JAMMU August 17: Sunil Prajapati President BJP OBC Morcha J&K UT in a function in Udhampur organized by Swarnkar sang along with Arun Gupta (District President BJP) highlighted the achievements of Modi Government, which ensured Justice and welfare of all people of the society. He spoke while addressing a meeting organized by Swarnkar Community at Udhampur to thank the Modi Govt, for considering them for reservation under OBC category recently vide SO 176 of 15 March 2024.  He emphasized the dedicated efforts of the Modi Government towards the development of Jammu and Kashmir following the revocation of Article 370.

The meeting was organized by Swarnkar Community at Udhampur in Presidentship of Joginder Verma (President Swarnkar sang) to expressed gratitude to the Modi Govt, which considered the Swarnkar Community for reservation under OBC category as being provided to their counterparts in other States. He added that the OBC Category was always neglected by the previous J&K Govts, which got the justice under Modi Govt, as OBCs have been provided reservation under OBC category first time as the successive Govts had denied reservation under OBC category but provided mere 2% reservation under Social Castes (OSC) category to deceive the OBCs of J&K. Arun Gupta, District President BJP, Udhampur was also present in the meeting.

Prajapati, said that Modi Govt has paid great attention towards all sections of the societies who were neglected by the previous Govts.  He described that under the mission Sabka Saath, Sabka viswas and sabka vikass, Modi Govt has granted reservation to the socially and educationally backward sections of the societies including Swarankars amongst others under OBC Category.  The other castes which have been recently granted OBC reservation are the Jat Community, Saini Community, West Pakisati Refugees, Gorkhas and Acharyas.  He added that OBCs have also been provided reservation in the Municipalities and Panchayat elections by the Modi Govt.  Accordingly, few representatives from Swarankar community will also be elected in the Panchayats and Municipalities under OBC Reservation.

All other who were present in the meeting are Suresh Salgotra (Vice President obc Morcha), Arti Verma (Ex Corporator  , (Sanjay Verma (Vice President), Ramesh Heera (Chairman), Ram Kumar (Secretary) and Rakesh Kumar (Mandal President OBC Morcha).
