Tahir Fazal Choudhary qualified for the Award of PhD in Economics

REASI: September 20: Tahir Fazal Choudhary S/o Fazal Hussain and Sayeeda Begum, has been declared qualified for the award of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the School of Economics by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) Katra, J&K. 

The candidate has worked on the topic “Agriculture under Climate Change: A Study of the Western Himalayan Region of India” under the supervision of Dr. Meenakshi Gupta, Assistant Professor, School of Economics, SMVDU, Katra. Mr. Tahir Fazal Choudhary has published his research work in various peer-reviewed ABDC, SSCI, and Scopus-indexed journals and presented papers at international conferences.

The candidate thanked Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University for providing institutional fellowship, as well as the necessary support and facilities for carrying out the research work. Prof. (Dr.) Pragati Kumar (Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU), Dr. Ashutosh Vashishtha (Dean Faculty of Management), Dr. Meenakshi Gupta (Supervisor, SOE) and other committee members congratulated Mr. Tahir Fazal Choudhary and wished him a bright future ahead.
