Tamil Nadu: Two people injured as illegally stored firecrackers explode inside cowshed near Sivakasi

Virudhunagar (Tamil Nadu) [India], August 18 (ANI): Two people were severely injured after firecrackers stored illegally in a cowshed exploded near the Sivakasi area of the Virudhunagar district of Tamil Nadu, said the fire & rescue department of Sivakasi on Sunday.

The injured individuals are undergoing treatment in the Sivakasi government hospital.

The Vembakkottai police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.

“Two people were seriously injured when firecrackers stored illegally in a cowshed near Sivakasi exploded. The injured are undergoing treatment in the Sivakasi government hospital. The Vembakkottai police have registered a case and are investigating the incident,” said the fire & rescue department of Sivakasi.

Further investigation is underway.
