Tanishaa Mukerji is in awe of Randeep Hooda’s ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’, showers praises for the movie
Tanishaa Mukerji is one of the most admired and adored personalities in the Indian entertainment industry. One of her best qualities which her fans have always loved about her is the fact that that she has the ability to call a spade a ‘spade’. As an artiste, she’s extremely secured and that’s why, she never really shies away from appreciating someone else’s work if she genuinely likes it. Earlier, we all know how Tanishaa Mukerji was moved by Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ because of which she had great things to share about the movie. Well, seems like Randeep Hooda starrer ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ has had a similar impact on her. Tanishaa who managed to watch the movie amidst her busy schedule heaped praises for the movie, the actors and the performances without mincing any words. On being asked more about the same, Tanishaa shares and we quote,
“I have to admit the fact that this film was beautifully and wonderfully crafted film both as a director as well as an actor. Randeep Hooda hasn’t let even one part drop. The music is top-notch and the way he’s put such a large subject beautifully together is amazing. I came out after watching the film feeling so patriotic. I feel like doing a lot more for my entire country. How wonderfully he says that Hindu doesn’t mean ‘religion’ & that it means ‘Hind’ aka ‘Hindustan’. So, if you feel that love for your country then no race, religion, caste or creed should interfere with that love. If we feel that amount of love, we are all that person. The country is above all and it was absolutely beautiful.
The way he has brought up these points so subtly makes it a well-crafted film. It’s wonderfully written. Not too much of dialogue but just the right amount that creates an impact. The way he asks the British officer, “How would you feel if Germany invaded you? How would you feel if they killed your sons and raped your daughters? Would you not do everything possible that’s in your power to fight?”. Later on in the film when World War 2 happens, Germany does invade England. Every moment in that film hits you so hard. Hats off to him for creating such a beautiful, impactful and most importantly educational film. It’s sad that we don’t know much about our own history. I remember Veer Savarkar was just a line in my textbook and we barely had one chapter on him. There are so many books written by him which we should be reading in today’s time.”
She adds,
“He was one freedom fighter I have a newfound respect for and all thanks to the movie. I really feel that we should come together and support such films in the industry because this talent that Randeep has uncovered about himself being a phenomenal director is brilliant. Be it as an actor or director, he’s been absolutely fantastic in both departments. Not for a moment will you see anything in the film and find anything ‘extra’. Everything is so well balanced. As a ‘filmy baby’, I feel such talents need to be nurtured and grown because he has truly done an incredible job by creating this biopic. We should value this talent and talk a lot more about it for the world to see because this is the kind of content that inspires people. At least, it certainly inspired me.”
In an industry that’s known for cut-throat competition where nothing really happens without any ‘interest’, people like Tanishaa who go all guns blazing to praise good quality work unconditionally makes the industry a better place. Kudos to her for honestly sharing her views unconditionally for the sake of the industry overall and good quality talent. On the work front, Tanishaa Mukerji is herself set to slay very soon in the upcoming movie ‘Murarbaji’ as the lead and we truly can’t wait to see her on the big screen. Stay tuned for more updates.
