Tara Chand appeals for congress victory in Jalandhar

Congress maintained peace, harmony in Punjab and J&K 

JAMMU, April 29- Former Dy Chief Minister and AICC observer for by election to the Jallandhar Lok sabha seat, Tara Chand today appealed to the voters of Jallandhar Lok Sabha seat to elect the congress candidate in the by election to send a message for unity,peace &harmony.

Campaigning  in favour of party candidate , Shri Tara Chand addressed series of meetings in the different areas the constituency and appealed to the electorate to give a positive vote against the politics of hatred and division and for peace, harmony &development.

  Accompanied by several senior leaders of the area and Bhushan Dogra Ex VC SC welfare Board , Naresh Sharma Ex President MC Kathua, Shri Tara Chand   said that the congress MP Santokh Singh Chaudhary who expired during Bharat Jodo Yatra , meant for a loud message of unity in diversity and against the prevailing politics of hate and disharmony by the bjp. 

He said that congress has always maintained unity and brotherhood in the society and  treated each and every community and castes equally while uplifting the weaker sections in the country. Congress always framed pro poor policies and programmes to remove poverty.

He referred to the upliftment of arond 27 cr below poverty people during UPA govt headed by Dr Manmohan Singh  out of which 23cr have again slipped back to below poverty line under Modi regime because of unpredented price rise and record unemployment

Former Dy CM referred to the restoration of peace, harmony and progress by great sacrifices by the Congress party  in Punjab and   the state progressed on all fronts  but there after there are disturbing signals emnating from Punjab.. 

He also reffered to Jammu and Kashmir too which  was peaceful and progressed in every sphere under UPA rule but now the bjp ruled centre is unable to hold assembly elections for five years of the dissolution of assembly in Jammu and Kashmir which has been stripped off statehood status and other rights to land and jobs. 

He urged people to vote for Congress and strengthen the hands of Shri Rahul Gandhi and defeat the communal &opportunist forces and strengthen the forces of peace, harmony, unity and progress
