The 2nd Edition of Ladakh Education Fair 2023 Concludes at EJM College, Leh
Two days of insightful sessions explored diverse education themes that ignited meaningful discussions
LEH, August 26: The second edition of the Ladakh Education Fair 2023 concluded successfully at EJM College, Leh. Over the course of two days, the fair featured an engaging array of sessions that explored a wide range of themes pertinent to the education landscape.
The two-day event of Ladakh Education Fair 2023 provided a unique platform for students to focus on five components related to education and employment- subject choice, career guidance, scholarships, skill development, and apprenticeship and saw active participation from a diverse group of stakeholders including associations, dignitaries, experts, teachers, and students from various schools of Leh. The fair provided a platform for meaningful discussions and insightful conversations on topics that hold great importance for the education sector. Participants had the opportunity to engage with experts and thought leaders, gaining valuable insights into subjects that impact both educators and students alike.
The Chief Guest of the concluding session, Santosh Sukhadeve (Deputy Commissioner, Leh) extended gratitude to all participants, sponsors, and partners who contributed to the fair’s success and he also congratulated Government Degree College, Khaltsi, and EJM College, Leh. He highlighted the efforts for the inclusion of different types of stalls especially for differently abled. He commended the Ladakh Education Fair’s dedication to making it possible for students to explore subject choice, career guidance, scholarships, skill development, and apprenticeship. Promoting advancements in education and providing a platform for educators, students, and stakeholders to engage in discussions, share ideas, and collaborate towards the enhancement of educational practices in the Ladakh region, he added.
Guest of Honor Prof. Ashok Kumar (Registrar, University of Ladakh) emphasized the need to focus on academics as well as co-curricular activities and encouraged the students to take full advantage of such events.
Prof. Ashok advised students to select subjects of their own interest and become involved in the education sector with the belief that such choices can lead to a more fulfilling and successful academic journey and career path. By pursuing their passions and actively contributing to the education community, students can not only enhance their personal growth but also positively influence the world around them, he added. He further added that the University of Ladakh will take initiatives to involve students, and teachers in research and evolving innovations in Ladakh.
Resource persons/experts graced the Ladakh Education Fair 2023 by speaking on various themes, engaging in talks, and interacting with students and participants. The multilingual poetic symposium was presented by the multilingual poets of Ladakh. Other dignitaries present were Prof. Deskyong Namgyal Controller of the Examination, University of Ladakh, and Prof. Tashi Ldawa Dean of Academic Affairs, University of Ladakh.
The valedictory session was conducted by the students of EJM College Tsering Lazes and Stanzin Dolkar. Welcome address by Dr. Sameena Iqbal (Principal of EJM College, Leh). Details of the two-day event presented by Dr. Tashi Lundup (Assistant Prof EJM College). Hajira Bano (Assistant Prof. of EJM College) concluded the Education Fair with a vote of thanks.
The colorful cultural program was also presented by the students of Government Degree College Khaltsi, and EJM College, Leh. The 2nd Edition of Ladakh Education Fair 2023 was organized by EJM College, Leh, and Government Degree College, Khaltse.
