The Students of Road Safety Club and the NSS volunteers conducted Awareness Campaign, at GDC, Marheen
KATHUA, January 23: The students of Road Safety Club and NSS volunteers of GDC, Marheen conducted Awareness campaign on the theme of “Road Safety and its Measures” on 23-01-2024 The entire campaign was conducted under the patronage of Dr Anupama Gupta worthy Principal of the college.
On this occasion, she addressed the students, emphasized and endeavoured to mobilize the NSS volunteers, Youth and the students of the college to carry out the campaign among the people for using helmet while driving two-wheelers ,use Seat belt , zebra crossing, traffic lights and not to give bikes and other vehicles to those who are below eighteen and not have driving license and she motivated them that it is high time to create awareness among the younger generation who are losing their precious life due to road accidents keeping view the national interest paramount we must avoid the impediments.
She also stressed the need to go beyond education and called for alertness for the national interest and civic sense among the citizens. She suggested the youth of India that they should work to curb this serious problem and try to spread wide awareness among the people to enlightened them regarding traffic rules.
Dr Arun Dev Singh, NSS Programme officer and convener of Road Safety Club also conveyed the youth that the govt of India always provide them the right platforms and guidance related to traffic rules and they should make best use of it, he motivated the students to strive in the right direction and inform the students regarding the various rules regarding traffic measures. The faculty members who were present on the occasion: Mr Pardeep, Prof Anoop Sharma, Dr Shallu, Prof Preeti, Prof Surbi, Dr Barneet Kour, Dr Reemi, Dr Haseena and others.
