“They would’ve also lost in alliance”, says BJP’s Om Prakash Dhankar after AAP releases list of candidates
Jhajjar (Haryana) [India], September 10 (ANI): After Aam Aadmi Party released their first list of candidates for Haryana Assembly polls, suggesting a breakdown in alliance talks with Congress, Bhartiya Janata Party leader Om Prakash Dhankar said that they would’ve lost even after the alliance.
Speaking to ANI, Dhankar asserted that without the alliance, AAP will not win a single seat in Haryana.
“AAP and Congress have lost in Delhi even after an alliance. In Haryana too, they would have lost had they come together, Now the alliance haven’t happened, they (AAP) will not be able to win a single seat. A party which cannot get us water is of no use to us,” Dhankar said.
Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday released its first list of candidates, suggesting that the talks of an alliance are off with Congress.
AAP’s state chief Sushil Gupta also said that the second list will also be released by Monday evening and added that the party waited for the outcome of a potential alliance but the time was running out for filing nominations.
BJP has fielded Dhankar from Badli Assembly constituency. He will be up against Congress’ Kuldeep Vats.
Kuldeep Vats, in the presence of Deepender Hooda, filled nomination today.
Deepender Hooda launched a scathing attack on BJP alleging them of ‘misgovernance’ in past 10 years.
“The issue is of 10 years of misgovernance by the BJP government. In 10 years, the BJP has derailed the state of Haryana from the track of progress and development. Today Haryana is number 1 in unemployment in the country, in crime Haryana is number 1. Today, Haryana has gone ahead of Punjab in intoxication. Such is the situation that Haryana is number 1 in the country in insulting every section,” Hooda said.
The voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5 and the last date for filing nominations is September 12. The counting of votes will be held on October 8.
