Three day Conference on Significance of Statistical Sciences in Emerging Scenario Commences at Dept of Statistics, Jammu University
JAMMU, February 15- The Three Day Annual Conference on “Significance of Statistical Sciences in Emerging Scenario (SSSES 2023),” commences at Department of Statistics, University of Jammu which is focused on the latest developments and advancements in the field of statistics.
The SSSES 2023 will bring together statisticians, researchers, academics, and industry experts from around the world to share their knowledge and insights on the latest trends and best practices in Statistics. With a wide range of topics to be covered, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with experts in a variety of fields, including but not limited to biostatistics, data science, and econometrics. The inaugural session was conducted at Brigadier Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu.
The chief guest of the session was Dr. G.P. Samanta, Chief Statistician of India, who was formally introduced by Dr. Rajender Parsad, Executive President, SSCA. Dr. Samanta shared his thoughts about how young researcher can use their knowledge to tackle some problems in Big Data. Prof. Rahul Gupta, Chairman, SSSES 2023, formally welcomed the participants giving them wishes for fruitful insights and a comfortable stay at the city of temple Jammu.

Dr. V K Gupta, President, SSCA, gave a brief history of the society and how the society is contributing to the development of platforms for all the statisticians to share their knowledge, meet and discuss their research findings and getting along for collaborative research. Prof. Parmil Kumar, Convener, SSSES 2023, formally introduced the key-note speaker Prof. BalgobinNandram, WPI, USA. Prof. Nandram shared with the audience how small area estimation can be done.
In addition to the keynote speeches, the conference will also feature a variety of panel discussions, workshops, and poster presentations, giving attendees the opportunity to engage with their peers, exchange ideas, and learn about new research and best practices in the field.
