Three-day day canopy management programme concluded in Nubra

LEH, March 13: The three-day canopy management programme on apricot and apple orchards organised by Department of Horticulture, Leh at different locations of Nubra region concluded successfully.

The technical expert for the training was Retired Joint Director, Horticulture, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat. Around 300 farmers actively participated in training from Siachen belt including Deskit and Turtuk region.

The main objective of the training was to impart the technique of training, thinning and pruning of orchards and their nutrient and pest management.

Kunzang Lotus Hunder Councillor, Sarpanches, Gobas, BDC Turtuk were present.

The training concluded in Turtuk village.
