Three-Day Digital JK Mela Concludes in Poonch with enthusiastic Public Participation

Government’s e-Services Showcased for Transparency and Citizen-Centric Governance

POONCH, September 02: The three-Day Digital JK Mela concluded today in Poonch with resounding success and enthusiastic participation from the public, particularly on the final day.

Wajahat Hussain Kazmi, Sub Judge Secretary DLSA Poonch, graced the culminating ceremony of the program as the chief guest.

Senior functionaries of the district administration, including CEO Poonch Development Authority Dr. Mohammad Tanveer; Gen Manager DIC (Nodal Officer Digital Mela) Dr. Zakir Hussain; Deputy Director Health, Dr.Sanjay Sharma; CMO, Dr Anees Altaf Nabi, District Informatics Officer Narinder Singh;  ALC, Adil Shabir; Additional District Informatics Officers, Parvinder Singh; Deputy CMO, Dr P.A Khan; Motor Vehicle Inspector, Gurmeet Singh; LDM JK Bank, Ashutosh Koul; Naib Tehsildar Haveli Maroof Khan; Adv. Bhanu Partap, Deputy Chief LADC Poonch; Adv Iftkar Bazmi, besides  other concerned officers, graced the occasion.

 The event aimed at popularizing and promoting the e-Services launched by the Government for the general masses.

In his address, the Chief Guest highlighted the significant activities and services provided to the people during the digital Mela. Secretary DLSA highlighted the remarkable achievements and benefits of various digital initiatives implemented by the government, which have revolutionized public services and fostered transparency in administrative processes.

On the last day, over 1057 visitors turned up at the mela , while 722 digital services were provided  to the general public, enhancing accessibility and efficiency.

 Different departments, through their stalls, showcased their online services. Resource persons from these departments provided demonstrations and motivated the public to avail themselves of the benefits offered by these digital platforms.

Dr. Zakir Hussain, Nodal Officer of the Digital Mela, expressed his gratitude to all the participating departments and commended their efforts in providing enhanced services to the public with transparency.

He acknowledged the support and presence of esteemed guests and dignitaries, including Adv. Bhanu Partap, Deputy Chief LADC Poonch, who visited the Mela and inspected the stalls, engaging with the public.

CDPO Mandi, Adil Shabir, who presided over the proceedings on the final day, extended his appreciation to Secretary DLSA Wajahat Hussain Kazmi and other officials for their presence and active involvement in the Mela. He also thanked the public for their overwhelming response and positive feedback, affirming the fruitful outcomes of the government’s digital initiatives.

The public, in turn, lauded the government’s efforts in implementing such valuable digital programs and appealed for their continuation to meet their evolving needs effectively. The Digital JK Mela emerged as a significant platform for public interaction, fostering transparency, and facilitating easy access to various services.
