Three-day grand celebrations at Shri Raghunathji Temple illuminate Jammu

M.K Ajatshatru, Kunwarani Dr Ritu Singh conveys gratitude for making these celebrations memorable  

JAMMU: M.K. Ajatshatru Singh, Trustee of J&K Dharmarth Trust, and former minister Kunwarani Dr. Ritu Singh, stated that the three-day grand celebrations organized at Shri Raghunathji Temple in connection with the consecration ceremony witnessed a spectacular display of faith and communal joy.

In a statement issued today, M.K. Ajatshatru Singh and Kunwarani Dr. Ritu Singh expressed gratitude to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, as well as devotees who came from other parts of the country, for making these three-day grand celebrations memorable.

Dr. Ritu  asserted that the Shree Raghunathji Temple was transformed into a divine spectacle adorned with vibrant flowers and radiant lighting, especially the decoration of the sanctum-sanctorum with fresh fruits, providing a sacred ambiance for the worshippers who gathered to celebrate this significant event.

She mentioned that the three-day celebrations featured SunderKand Paath, Akhand Paath of Shri Ram Charitmanas by renowned Vedic scholars specially invited from Chitrakoot, Ayodhya, and a two-day Bhajan Sandhaya, showcasing renowned singers like Sonali Dogra, Ravi Raghuvansi, Narinder Singh, Raman Slathia, Nirbhay Salathia, Vishal Gupta and Vijay Sharma (Punjab) who enthralled the audience with soulful Ram Bhajans.

The highlight of the Bhajan Sandhya was a special presentation for the children of Muskaan Home which was warmly received by all present. Shivani Kapoor along with his team, disciples of Dr Priya Dutta, a prominent Kathak Dancer of J&K, has given a thrilling performance of Kathak Dance during the Bhajan Sandhya.

Two LED panels were also set up by Tarun Behl of Shree Times for the live telecast of the Ram Temple event in Ayodhya, specifically for the visiting devotees of Jammu.

The event has also witnessed the releases of devotional music albums of Sonali Dogra, Ravi Raghuvanshi and Hira Lal Abrol, Chairman of Healthy India and Stronger India and the song of Seema Murti.

M.K Ajatshatru Singh and Kunwarani Dr Ritu Singh thanked the Union Minister of Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Member Parliament Jugal Kishore, Advisor to Lt Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar and his wife, Division Commissioner Ramesh Kumar, ADGP Jammu Anand Jain, Padma Shri Dr Vishwa Murti Shastri, SSP Sandeep Mehta, Sunaina Mehta, Joint Director Tourism, Jammu, BJP J&K President Ravinder Raina, former Minister Priya Sethi, senior BJP leader Yudhvir Sethi, former JMC Commissioner Kiran Wattal, Johnny William and Esther William, S.M Sahni, Convener INTACH Jammu Chapter for gracing the this special occasion with their presence.

They also expressed gratitude to the District Administration especially the Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar, ADGP Law & Order Vijay Kumar (IPS), ADGP Anand Jain (IPS), SSP Jammu (IPS), SSP Traffic and JMC Commissioner Rahul Yadav (IAS) for making necessary arrangements in and outside the temple complex to facilitate the smooth conduct of the event.

They also expressed sincere thanks to the entire team of Guru Ki Sangat, Hari Niwas, and Delhi Public School for their dedicated contributions and collaborative spirit.

They also appreciated the entire team of J&K Dharmarth Trust headed by its President Brig RS Langeh (Rtd) and Secretary, Ashok Sharma (SSP Rtd) including all the Pujaries for these events a great success.

Dr Ritu Singh also thanked Dr Mitali Gupta, Suganda Mahajan and Amar Chauhan for compeering the Bhajan Sandhya.

The three-day grand celebrations culminated with a mesmerizing Deepotsav in which Dr. Ritu Singh and Purnima Sharma, former Deputy Mayor, lit 11,000 lamps in the temple complex. Pertinent to mention that these 11000 Diyas were prepared by a NGO comprising local women folk.

Dr Ritu Singh also thanked Hira Lal Abrol for lighting additional 1000 Diyas in the temple complex with his team of Healthy India, Stronger India.

Dogri Dham was also served among all the visiting devotees. Dr Ritu Singh also mentioned that the fresh fruits used for decoration in the main sanctum-sanctorum will be distributed among the vendors.

Students and staff of Raghunath Sanskrit Maha Vidhalaya Birpur also participated.
