“Three of our soldiers have been injured”: Jharkhand DGP Anurag Gupta on IED blast in Chaibasa

Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], March 5 (ANI): Jharkhand Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Gupta on Wednesday informed that three CRPF personnel were injured, with one radio operator sustaining serious leg injuries in the IED blast in Chaibasa.

“Three of our soldiers have been injured. One of our radio operators has a serious injury in his leg,” said the Jharkhand DGP.

The injured soldiers were immediately brought to a hospital in Ranchi for treatment, with medical staff working to stabilize the critically injured radio operator. According to Jharkhand DGP Anurag Gupta, the soldier’s condition is being closely monitored, and if necessary, arrangements are in place to transport him to Delhi via air ambulance for further treatment.

“Our doctor told us that he will do some surgery and try to stabilize him and if needed, we can immediately send him to Delhi by air ambulance. Whatever the doctor decides, we will do that. We stand completely with our soldiers…,” added Anurag Gupta.

Gupta reassured that the authorities are fully supporting the injured soldiers and are committed to taking decisive action against the Naxalites responsible for the attack. The DGP emphasised that the Naxalites are running low on ammunition and that security forces have been actively working to neutralize the threat.

He noted that several Naxalites have been killed in previous operations, and those remaining will be apprehended or eliminated by March 31.

“We are taking action against them. Action has been taken earlier as well, many have been killed and those who are left will be caught or killed by March 31… It was an old IED,” added Jharkhand DGP.

More details are awaited.
