Thursday Mind Meet held at Central University of Jammu

17^th Aug 2023: The weekly Thursday Mind Meet Forum created in the Central University of Jammu to ignite passion for learning and to foster creative and critical abilities by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sanjeev jain was held in the university campus on 17^th August, 2023.

The topic of Thursday Mind Meet was ‘Professional Research Career-Challenges and Opportunities’ and Prof. H.K. Sardana Director IIIT Raichur was the Key Speaker of the panel.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Sardana highlighted the significance of experiment, interpretation of data which is a major challenge for the researchers. He also focused on the different aspects of research like components of experimental designing, research designing and others.

Prof. Vandana Sharma, Convener of Thursday mind meet, Prof. Devanand Co-Convener and Dean, School of Basic and Applied Science, Dr. Swarkar Sharma, Head Department of Molecular Biology, Dr. Praveen Associate Professor Department of Nanoscience and Materials participated in the discussion as panellist. Despite these panellists Dr. Khusbhoo Yadava N-PDF, Department of Nanoscience and Materials and Mr. Gaurav Awasthi,PhD Scholar Department of Nanoscience and Materials were also a part of the discussion panel.  

Prof. Devanand addressed the researchers to focus on new or innovative ideas in place of extension of some others work with some modifications.  The Thursday Mind Meet was attended by UG, PG and PhD students from the different science stream discussing what types of challenges come in the research life with speakers. The session was concluded by Prof. Vinay Kumar, Head Department of Nanoscience and Materials by giving vote of thanks to all the speakers, students and the moderator was Dr. Pawan Kumar.
