Tiranga Rally Organized at Central University of Jammu
Jammu 12, August 2014: To mark India’s independence celebrations, the Tiranga Rally was held at Central University of Jammu. The rally was flagged off by Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, CUJ. A large gathering of faculty members, officials, staff and students were joined in the celebrations with National Tricolours, and participated in the rally, which was taken out from the DDE building to the nearby village Suchani.
The programme was started with the distribution of National Flags to all gathered followed by patriotic slogans full of enthusiasm, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai & Vande Matram” by students of Central University of Jammu. Thereafter the rally progressed around and outside the campus. The tricolor was waving in the air in almost every hand and the atmosphere was filled with the Patriotism. All the participants participated in the event with great zeal and ravishment.
Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, CUJ who led the rally lauded the efforts of all the participants for the successful conduct of the Trianga Rally. Prof. Jain said that the National Flag reflects the country’s glorious ethos of unity in diversity, unflinching faith in peace and harmony.
The event was organized under the supervision of Dean Students welfare Prof. Ritu Bakshi. Prominent among those who were present in the programme were Prof. Yashwant singh, Registrar, CUJ, Prof. Bharat Bhushan, Prof. Asit Mantry, Prof. Mishra, Prof. Ashwani Kumar Nanda, Prof. Vandhana Sharma, Prof. Ajai Pal Sharma along with various other faculty members, officers, staff and students were present.
