TLSC Kangan organizes Awareness programme on National Voters Day

GANDERBAL, JANUARY 25: On the directions of Secretary District Legal Service Authority Ganderbal, Nusrat Ali Hakak and under the guidance of Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC) Kangan, Essar-Ul-Nabi, the Tehsil Legal Services Committee Kangan along with Civil Administration Sub–Division Kangan today observed National Voters Day at Degree College Kangan.

On this occasion SDM Kangan, Tehsildar Kangan, Tehsildar Gund, BDO Kangan, Chairman BDC Kangan, ZEOs of Kangan and Hariganiwan were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman TLSC Kangan highlighted the importance of the day and urged people particularly new voters to cast their vote as it is the right of every citizen. He emphasizes all the participants to use their vote in such a way that it benefits the society.

Advocate Sajad Ahmad Khan who was appointed as resource person also appraised the gathering about the importance of the day and urged new voters to register themselves in electoral rolls and participate in the electoral process.

S.D.M Kangan, Javaid Ahmad Rather, Professor Mudasir Nazar of Degree College Kangan and Tehsildar Kangan also apprised the gathering about the National Voters Day.

 S.D.M Kangan highly appreciated the work of BLOs and Supervisors in updating the electoral rolls of Sub Division Kangan.

At the end of the programme, a facilitation ceremony was also held wherein certificates were distributed among best performing BLOs and Supervisors.

A quiz Competition was held among the students of Govt Degree College Kangan, Govt Boys Higher Secondary School Kangan and Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Kangan. Prizes were distributed among the position holders of the quiz competition.
