Tourism Department, Leh celebrates second-day of Apricot Blossom Festival at Tyakshi on April 14

Leh, April 15, 2024: Tourism Department, Leh celebrated the second day of Apricot Blossom Festival at Tyakshi on April 14.

Apricot blossom festival is celebrated every year in Ladakh when the pink flowers of Apricot trees bloom which is a sign of the onset of spring. The festival celebrates the region’s natural beauty and cultural heritage when the trees start blooming.

AD Tourism, Leh, Fesal Iqbal Tantray chief guest said that the main aim of celebrating apricot festival is to promote tourism in all season in Ladakh. While, Under Secretary, Horticulture, UT Ladakh, Amir Suhail was the guest of honour.  

Different self-help groups exhibited their products and ethnic food. The festival also witnessed various cultural programs and different exhibitions featuring local handicrafts. Visitors also witnessed cultural performance presented by local artists on the occasion.
