The advisory highlights the presence of nomadic flocks crossing the highway, causing single-lane stretches. Additionally, the road surface between Ramban and Banihal is reported to be in poor condition.
To ensure smooth traffic flow, authorities urge commuters to strictly follow lane discipline and avoid overtaking, as this could lead to congestion.
In parallel, traffic is reported from Srinagar towards Kargil on the Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri (SSG) Road, while the Mughal Road is open for one-way traffic exclusively for Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) traveling from Srinagar towards Poonch.
Commuters are advised to exercise caution while traveling on these roads and to be aware of the latest traffic updates. They can contact the Traffic Control Units (TCUs) for real-time information on road conditions.
