Early morning traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar highway was disrupted by a landslide reported near Gangroo. Authorities have advised travelers to postpone their journeys until they receive confirmation of the road being cleared by Traffic Control Units (TCUs).
Adding to the woes of commuters, NH-44 witnessed delays since sunrise due to a breakdown of Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) and large potholes at several locations.
Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) were stuck at both ends of the highway due to the slow clearance of the HMVs. Traffic police urged LMV operators and passengers to remain patient and cooperate with them.
Officials are working to clear the landslide and repair the damaged sections of NH-44. Travelers are advised to check with TCUs for the latest updates before embarking on their journeys.
