Traffic slow on Jammu-Srinagar Highway due to road conditions, nomadic movement; caution advised

Travelers on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NHW) are experiencing significant delays, particularly between Ramban and Banihal, due to a combination of poor road surface conditions, sharp 90-degree curves near Tunnel 5 (T5), and the movement of nomadic flocks. The traffic flow in this section has been notably slow, causing inconvenience to travelers.

The Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police have urged drivers to maintain lane discipline to avoid exacerbating the congestion. They have emphasized that overtaking in these areas could lead to further traffic jams and potential accidents, considering the challenging road conditions and sharp turns.
