Trainees presented certificates on completion of Skill course at Doda
DODA, NOVEMBER 26: A Certificate Distribution Ceremony was held at the conference hall of the DC Office Complex, Doda, to mark the successful completion of the Skill Development Program conducted under the AVSAR Scheme by Mission Youth. The program, which ran from January to March 2024, was a collaborative initiative by the Centre for Essential Skills, IIT Jammu, and the District Administration Doda, led by the District Employment & Counselling Centre.
The event was graced by Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, as the chief guest. In his address, he highlighted the importance of skill development in empowering the youth of the region and creating avenues for employment and self-reliance. Faculty from IIT Jammu, including Professor Amitash Ojha and Course Coordinator Yatri Joshi, who played pivotal roles in training the participants, also attended the event.
The program was organized under the supervision of Assistant Director Employment Nehal Pandit and Employment Officer Imtayaz Ali, at the District Employment and Counselling Centre.
The ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation from the candidates who successfully completed the training, receiving certificates in recognition of their hard work and newly acquired skills. This initiative aimed to enhance employability among the youth and contribute to the socio-economic development of the district.
During the event, the Deputy Commissioner also inaugurated a kiosk display screen, enabling unemployed youth and women to access the latest updates on government-sponsored schemes.
Such collaborations between premier institutions like IIT Jammu and local administration reinforce the government’s commitment to building a skilled workforce for a brighter future.
