Training cum Orientation Programme held for District Level Nodal Officers in Kishtwar on J&K SAMADHAN

KISHTWAR, JULY 29: A training cum orientation programme was conducted in Kishtwar for District Level Nodal Officers to introduce the JK SAMADHAN-a Unified Grievance Redressal & Monitoring System on the directions and under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav.


The session aimed to educate participants about the new portal, which is designed to enhance grievance redressal mechanisms for the common masses.


The attendees were briefed on the action plan to promote widespread awareness of the JK SAMADHAN portal among the public.


Participants were sensitized to the importance and functionality of the portal, which aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of grievance handling processes.


On spot demonstration for the app was also provided to facilitate easy navigation and utilization of its features.


The App is Developed in partnership with the Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics (BISAG-N), the JK SAMADHAN portal aims to provide a multilingual platform for citizens to register their grievances and track their resolution in real-time.


JK SAMADHAN is a significant improvement over the previous systems, JKIGRAMS and CPGRAMS.


The platform features a multilingual AI-based interface that automatically forwards grievances to the relevant departments. Key functionalities include real-time updates on grievance status, prompt acknowledgments to users, and a multilingual voice response system.


Resource person Sajjad Hussain led the training, sensitizing nodal officers from various departments on the JK SAMADHAN portal. The system is designed to work for everyone without discrimination, establishing transparent, inclusive, accountable, accessible, and responsive governance to improve ease of living and empower citizens.


Citizens can lodge grievances via the call center, online mode, and through the ‘JK SAMADHAN MOBILE APP.’ The JK SAMADHAN web portal (https://samadhan.jk.gov.in) and the mobile app support multiple languages, allowing complaints to be written in English, Hindi, and Urdu.
