Training for Micro Observers hosted at Doda

DODA, SEPTEMBER 11: The District Election Authority, in the run up to the Assembly Elections-2024, organized a training program for Micro Observers of Assembly Constituencies (AC) 52-Doda and AC 53-Doda West, here today.


The training session, held in the Conference Hall, DC Office, was graced by the presence of the General Observer Aditya Negi .


In his address, he highlighted the pivotal role of Micro Observers in ensuring the smooth conduct of elections. Aditya Negi emphasized that Micro Observers serve as the “Eyes and Ears” of the Election Commission of India, entrusted with responsibilities such as monitoring polling stations for readiness, verifying the implementation of Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF), supervising mock polling, and submitting post-poll reports in accordance with the Election Commission’s guidelines.


A total of 130 Micro Observers are being trained to oversee 338 polling stations—171 in AC 52-Doda and 167 in AC 53-Doda West.


Dr. Akhter Hussain Akhoon, District Nodal Officer for training and human resources led the training with a detailed presentation on various aspects of the election process, covering essential guidelines and procedures.
