Training on Research Methodology for Middle-Level Teachers held at DIET Leh

Leh, Feb 27, 2024: A training session on research methodology for middle-level teachers was held at DIET Leh as part of the winter training and NEP 2020 initiatives.

During the inaugural session, Principal DIET Leh, Chetan Dorje underscored the significance of research in schools, stressing the importance for teachers to cultivate a habit of conducting research to enhance their teaching and learning abilities.

In the morning session of the first day a Research Consultant and founder of Yegi Publications in Ladakh, Dr. Rigzin Chodon delivered a PowerPoint presentation to the participants. Her presentation covered an introduction to research, various types of research applicable to different disciplines, and the ethical considerations in research.

During the afternoon session, Lecturer in Economics at Boys Higher Secondary School Leh, Dr. Nawab Hussain presented on the introduction to action research and its relevance for teachers and educators, emphasizing its importance in improving teaching methodologies and educational outcomes.
