Training programme on Agricultural Census held at Kupwara

KUPWARA, February 27: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Dr.Doifode Sagar Dattatray, the Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), Kupwara, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat today reviewed the progress of Agriculture Census, going on in a phased manner.

Meanwhile, a training programme for field functionaries and supervisors of revenue department on Agricultural Census was organized at the meeting hall of DC Office Complex Kupwara.

The Training programme was presided over by Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Kupwara, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat.

Various Revenue Officers including Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, and Girdawars of district Kupwara participated in the programme.

The training focused mainly on the collection of data on number of Agricultural Operational Holders, land use, digitisation, Kind of soil, Tenancy status and irrigation facilities.

On the occasion Master trainer, Mudasir Bashir Sofi explained the importance and methods of agriculture census through a detailed PowerPoint presentation (PPT).

This agricultural census in phased manner is continuing through an Android App and web-based system in Kupwara district which is very significant for the planners and policy makers.
