Senior leaders join tributes paying function at Dogra Chowk

Jammu, November 27- Today, a solemn program was organized at the headquarters of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) to pay heartfelt tributes to late Shri Giirdhari lal Dogra, a towering figure in the political history of Jammu and Kashmir.

 The event was attended by various prominent leaders who reflected on the immense contributions made by Shri Dogra during his illustrious career.

Shri Dogra, widely regarded as one of the tallest leaders in Jammu and Kashmir, served as a dedicated leader of the Indian National Congress and played a pivotal role in the political landscape of the region for several decades. A man of the people, he was known for his deep commitment to the welfare of Jammu and Kashmir and for championing the rights of its citizens, especially in terms of equality, job opportunities, and ensuring the special status of Jammu and Kashmir .

Having served as Finance Minister for an impressive 26 years, Shri Dogra’s influence was felt both in the corridors of power in Delhi and at the grassroots level in Jammu and Kashmir.

 He was a stalwart  representing both the constituencies of Jammu and Udhampur, and was recognized as a leader with a deep sense of responsibility towards the people he served.

Earlier several senior congress leaders visited the GL Dogra Chowk in Jammu and offered floral tributes to Dogra at his statue and described him a great stalwart of J&K.
