BJP can’t run away too long, will have to face people’s raging anger: Raman Bhalla

JAMMU, August  17: Trikuta Nagar Welfare Association today felicitated JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla  for his continuous social service in various fields and extended full support to former Minister in the forthcoming Urban Local Body elections . Meanwhile Bhalla was also apprised of the problems being faced by residents of the locality. The felicitation programme organized at Trikuta Nagar Senior Citizen Rejuvenation Center. The programme was organized by PCC Delicate & DCC General Secretary Aman Bawa. Prominent among those present on the occasion include Sr. Citizens Chairman Congress Krishan Lal Gupta, Sr. Citizens Trikuta Nagar President Baldev Raj Gupta, SC Verma, Dr. Sharyansh Kr Jain State Yoga Commissioner, Kuldeep Arora, Tilak Raj Gupta Yoga Inspector, BR Kundal, Ashwani Gupta, Sanchar Chand Gupta, Jagmohan Gupta, Arun Gupta besides others.

Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla highlighted rising inflation, high unemployment, suppression of democracy, failure to safeguard national security, hate politics, historic fall of the rupee, economic collapse and erosion of social fabric. He said during more than nine years of BJP government, inflation and unemployment have hit the common man hard.  Bhalla observed that BJP is insensitive towards the problems of the youth. There is resentment among people and the youths are angry. This is because the attitude of the BJP towards the problems of the youth is insensitive. Now, no one believes in the hollow claims made to the youth about providing jobs ,” he said.

Bhalla said BJP workers are agog with anxiety thinking with what face they should go to the people. There is a simmering discontent against Modi government all around the country as the party has so far done pretty little to boast of. The history of the Congress Party is the story of adherence to the high moral and ethical pedestal in public life. A master dream seller that our PM Narendra Modi is virtually known for now was handed over the command of electioneering. BJP is master in marketing dream, driving people into utopia through linguistic jargon and cajoling ‘Mann ki Baat’ camouflaging their real side of nurturing dictatorial thinking.

Urging Union Govt to hold assembly elections in J&K without a further delay, Bhalla said, “Selecting their own representatives to serve in the government is a fundamental democratic right that must not be denied to the people. We have faith in the democratic values of our country, and we aspire to the same rights that are enjoyed by people in other regions of the country.”Bhalla promised that if the party is elected to form the government, it will undertake a series of initiatives to ensure social justice and economic benefits for the people. He said, “we have a vision and a roadmap to ensure the economic empowerment of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. I assure you that we will ensure impartial development of all regions and prosperity for all citizens, regardless of their regional, religious, or political affiliations.”

Bhalla said down sliding of democracy has hurt every sector of Jammu and Kashmir without any exception. The litmus test for a democracy is if the policy decisions are made through democratic procedure and have popular support. Unfortunately, the current administration’s decisions sans both, Bhalla said. “People will punish them through elections as and when they are held. They cannot run away from it for long, one or the other day they have to face the people’s raging anger,” he added.

“I wonder why the administration is hell-bent to settle everything at once. Important public issues and sensitive matters should be left for the government that will come up with a public mandate in the forthcoming elections here,” Bhalla said. “It is sad to see difficult orders are successively being passed. Such directives should come up only after proper deliberations and discussion, and while keeping the public sentiments in view. I would suggest that such decisions should be kept for an elected govt to take”, he said.
