Trouble creator booked under PSA in Poonch

POONCH, 27 March 2024: In a proactive measure to tighten the grip on notorious trouble creators and uphold public order, the District Police Poonch has detained one such individual under the Public Safety Act (PSA).

Mir Mohd Choudhary, son of Lal Hussain and resident of village Gohlad, Tehsil Mendhar District Poonch, has been identified as a habitual trouble creator posing a significant threat to the peaceful existence of society.

Mir Mohd Choudhary has demonstrated a pattern of behaviour characterized by the adoption of various tactics to spread terror and fear within the community. His actions have posed a serious risk to public safety and tranquillity. To prevent further criminal activities detrimental to public order, the District Police Poonch, acting upon a detention order obtained from the District Magistrate Poonch, has taken the necessary steps to detain Mir Mohd Choudhary under the PSA.

It is pertinent to highlight that Mir Mohd Choudhary has been implicated in criminal cases, notably involving criminal intimidation, within the jurisdiction of Police Station Mendhar.
