Truck drivers, Co-Drivers, Helpers register for e-Shram in Ramban
RAMAN, JULY 04: Office of the Assistant Labour Commissioner Ramban Organized two day on spot Registration and awareness camps at different places along the National Highway-44 for Registration of Truck drivers and allied workers on e-shram portal.
The camps were held on 3rd and 4th of July 2024 at Seri, Chanderkote, Karol, Bus Stand Ramban, Bus Stand Bahinal, Lambar Near Navyuga Tunnel and Railway Station Banihal.
During the camp, the officials of the Labour Department educated the Truck drivers regarding the benefits of the e-shram Registration and registered many Truck drivers on the Portal by self Registration.
Truck drivers are a vulnerable section of labour class and Registration under e-shram will provide direct life insurance cover of Rs. 2 lakh and upto Rs. 1 lakh cover for temporary disability to the registrant.
The camp was organized under overall supervision of ALC Amit Kumar who urged the drivers, cleaners and helpers of commercial vehicles registered in district ramban to get registered on e-shram portal either through self Registration or through any CSC and take benefits of the Registration.
