Make sports part of their routine: Uday asks youth

JAMMU, May 8: Uday Bhanu Chib, President of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress (JKPYC), while asserting that sports is must for the overall personality development of youth, has urged the J&K administration to provide adequate sports infrastructure in every nook and corner of J&K.

The JKPYC President stated this while addressing a function as a Chief Guest after declaring open an Inter School District Level Competition in the discipline of Thai Boxing at Roop Nagar, Jammu North Assembly Segment.

A lot of enthusiasm was witnessed among the children who have come to participate in the tournament.

Uday Chib, in his address, said that sports is must for overall personality development of every individual. He asserted that it’s not just your body that benefits from sports but playing sports contributes to mental health, helping to prevent depression and increase self-esteem and body image. He said that individuals who participate in sports might also benefit from the social aspect, developing friendships with teammates and feeling part of a group.

Uday Chib appealed to the children and youth of the area to make sports part of their routine so that the nation is ensured a healthy citizenry.
