Two groups of Anantnag Youth flagged-off for 10 days Tour
ANANTNAG, SEPTEMBER 25: Nehru Yuva Kendra Anantnag, as part of Kashmiri Exchange programme flagged off 2 groups of Youth Male and Female of District Anantnag for 10 days tour to Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) and Udaipur (Rajasthan).
The tour is organized by NYK Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India and all boarding and lodging facilities including to and fro tickets are being provided by the department.
The flag-off ceremony was organized at Sports Stadium Anantnag in which Vice Chairperson DDC, Advocate Javid Ahmad Sheikh; Deputy Director, Mohammad Khalil Mir and other officials of NYK Anantnag were present.
Mir while interacting with the touring youth who belong to different parts of District Anantnag said that main aim of this tour is to provide opportunities to the participants to visit different places of cultural, industrial, historical, religious and educational interest in the country and to share the information on tourism, cuisine, culture and handicrafts and other products of Kashmir Valley among participants from other parts of the country.
He also said that the aim of this tour is to expose Kashmiri youth to the technological and industrial advancement that have taken place in different states of the country with focus on various developmental activities, skill development, educational and availability of employment opportunities.
He advised the youth to imbibe in them the greatness of the country and to take full advantage of the opportunity and collect memories for life during the tour, besides wishing them a fun-filled, safe and life changing tour.
All the Youth were given a kit that contains a customized tracksuit and a pair of shoes.
The group will be assisted by a guide who would be highlighting the significance of the historical spots and their importance to make the trip educational and informative as well.
