Udhampur Admin organises varied sports activities under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

UDHAMPUR, MARCH 26: Department of Social Welfare, in collaboration with Department of Youth Services & Sports organised varied sports activities here, at Sports Stadium and Mini Stadium Udhampur.

The whole programme was organised on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai and supervision of District Social Welfare Officer Kanika Gupta.
DYSSO Romesh Chander, emphasized the importance of sports activities in combating the menace of drugs. He motivated the participants to engage in sports and pledge for a healthy India.

Gender Specialist Sankalp HEW Mission Shakti Pooja Jamwal stressed upon how recognizing the symptoms of drug use can help individuals to access timely interventions. Learning about the underlying causes can shed light on the challenges faced by those struggling with addiction. Effective treatments are available to support individuals on their path to recovery.

Around 150 students participated in sports activities including cricket matches between 5 teams and badminton.
