Udhampur: Health Department deducts one day salary of absentee staff

UDHAMPUR, JULY 06: Health Department has decided to deduct one Day Salary of NHM and regular employees of Panchari Block who were found absent from Duty without leave.

During a surprise visit on July 1, 2023 by Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Sachin Kumar Vaishya to Block Panchari, some of the NHM and regular employees were found absent.

On the directions of DC, Chief Medical Officer, Udhampur has asked BMO to collect an amount equivalent to  one day salary deduction of these employees on account of unauthorized absence from duty and deposit the amount in the red cross fund.

The authorities had also sought explanation from the absentees and their replies were found unsatisfactory. Subsequently a fine equivalent to their one day salary was imposed on them.

Earlier, Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Udhampur had deducted a half day salary of Doctors and other staff from the month of June after they were found absent during a surprise visit to District Hospital Udhampur by Deputy Commissioner on June 13, 2023.
