Udhyam Jagriti 2.0 under Mission YUVA launched at Pulwama
DDC highlights significance of Mission YUVA in fostering entrepreneurial awareness, youth empowerment
PULWAMA, JANUARY 07: A district-level program to launch the Baseline Survey for Udhyam Jagriti 2.0 under Mission YUVA was held today at District Administrative Complex, Pulwama.
The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom inaugurated the program and highlighted the significance of Mission YUVA in fostering entrepreneurial awareness and youth empowerment in the region.
During the program, officials elaborated on the objectives of Udhyam Jagriti 2.0, focusing on conducting a baseline survey to assess the skill sets, aspirations and employment opportunities available to the youth in the district.
The survey aims to create a comprehensive database to design targeted interventions for capacity building, skill development and entrepreneurship promotion under Mission YUVA.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC urged local youth to actively participate in the program and leverage the opportunities provided to enhance their skills and entrepreneurial potential.
In his remarks, DC emphasized the need to ensure that the public is well-informed about the objectives and advantages of the scheme. He directed supervisors to conduct door-to-door surveys and also distribute informative pamphlets, besides actively engage with the residents to highlight the program’s potential to generate employment and support local businesses.
Dr. Basharat commended the officers and officials involved in the Mission YUVA initiative, appreciating their dedication and hard work in advancing the program. He specifically lauded the progress made in the baseline survey, which commenced on January 2, 2025, as a preparatory step for the initiative.
The program was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Pulwama (Nodal Officer YUVA), DSEO Pulwama, Assistant Director Employment, Pulwama and other officers and Supervisors nominated for Mission YUVA.
