UIET, Kathua Campus (JU) organises a motivational talk on “Indian Economy: The Dawn of a New Era” under the newly launched Expert Lecture Series
KATHUA, June 1 : University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu organised a motivational talk on “Indian Economy: The Dawn of a New Era” under the newly launched Expert Lecture Series for the students of the UIET, MCA, MBA, and English departments of the campus. The resource person for the talk was Mr. Kamal K. Sharma, founder and director of Savefirst Investinsure Services. Mr. Sharma is an author and a financial professional with over two and a half decades of corporate experience working with large financial institutions of international repute. His book, “The Piggy Bank Billionaire,” has sold over 22,000 copies and is available in more than 300 libraries across the country. In his motivational talk, he inspired the students not to lose their courage despite difficult and adverse circumstances.
Mr. Kamal Sharma further stressed that the vision of today’s youth should be aligned with the mission of the nation. He motivated the students to train their minds and update themselves on the latest technologies from various interdisciplinary domains. He considered today’s generation to be the luckiest and most aspiring generation of all time. He also emphasised that abilities and knowledge are considered the central pillars for employment, job creation, and enhanced growth that support the economic development and strategies of the nation. He further added that, in these growing times, skill competencies are essential for diverse forms of employment in various sectors. Mr. Sharma further impressed upon improving the proficiencies and knowledge of today’s youth for achieving and maintaining economic competitiveness, especially in the context of progressing the country.
Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Rector, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu eulogised today’s speaker and thanked him for spending his valuable time for the students of the campus. She further urged that today’s generation should improve their thinking ability, innovativeness, and creativity. She said that each person should thrive on motivation and inspiration as an individual. She suggested the students understand the importance of earning money for a better, more prosperous, and righteous life ahead. She further encouraged the students of the campus to chase their dreams and foresee opportunities in India’s production-consumption-oriented economy. She also highlighted the importance of positive thinking, attitude and the significance of skills in order to secure sustainable economic growth. During the programme, Dr. Kilam also put in earthen water pots for the animals and birds within the premises of the campus.
Dr. Sourabh Shastri, I/C Coordinator, UIET, University of Jammu, welcomed everyone and introduced the distinguished resource person. He stressed that there has been a growing emphasis on enabling employability as an important measure in India. He further said that one should develop inner strength, character, self-regulation, self-efficacy, critical thinking, and management skills as they help people progress in life.
Dr. Seema Jamwal coordinated the whole programme, and Ms. Ritika Gupta delivered the vote of thanks.
