UIET, Kathua Campus (JU) organizes an Industrial Talk under Industry-Academia Partnership Series

Kathua, July 25: Under the Industry-Academia Partnership Series, University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Kathua Campus (JU) organized an Industrial Talk on the topic “Future-Proofing your Career: The Impact of Personal Branding and Early Entrepreneurship” by Mr. Sanjeev Sharma, Director and Founder, Orcanio Technologies, Sydney, Australia. With a strong foundation in electronics engineering, Mr. Sanjeev embarked on a remarkable journey through the realms of IT and finance, amassing a wealth of experience spanning an impressive 19 years. 

Mr. Sharma highlighted that in today’s rapidly changing world, it has become crucial to take charge of the professional journey and equip with the essential elements like personal branding and early entrepreneurship. He further said that in the present digital age, the online presence is vital for personal branding where social media platforms, websites, blogs, and professional networking sites offer opportunities to showcase the expertise and engage with the target audience. He also stressed that a well-crafted personal brand can amplify early entrepreneurial efforts, increase visibility, and set the stage for long-term success in the business world.

Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Rector, Kathua Campus (JU) in her message expressed gratitude towards the resource person for presenting an informative lecture to the students of Campus. She said that personal branding is the art about showcasing the skills, experiences, and values in a way that distinguishes one from the others in a specific field. She added that building a strong personal brand and becoming an entrepreneur gives an opportunity to create a network of influential connections along with recognition in the field.

Dr. Sourabh Shastri, I/c Coordinator, UIET, Kathua Campus (JU) introduced and welcomed the eminent speaker and thanked him for an informative talk on such an inspiring topic.
