Shah pays floral tributes to Mukherjee at BJP headquarter

Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, addressed a massive public rally at Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu.

JAMMU, 23 June: On the Balidan Diwas of Amar Shaheed Shyama Prasad Mookherjee, Shah paid tribute to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ideologue and Bharatiya Jana Sangha founder, during his quick visit to BJP headquarter, Trikuta Nagar.

LG J&K Manoj Sinha, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, Mayor JMC Rajinder Sharma and others shared the stage with the Union Minister, while he laid the foundation stone for many projects and addressed the mammoth rally.

Shah also paid obeisance at Shri Tirupati Bala ji Temple in Jammu.

On the occasion, Shah laid the foundation stone of the Central Forensic Sciences Laboratory at Samba and inaugurated several other development schemes in the city.

Paying tribute to the BJP ideologue, he said that Mookherjee was against the inclusion of Article 370 as he believed that there is no place for 2 flags and 2 heads in a nation.

 Today is the martyrdom day of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. Today West Bengal is connected with the country because of Dr. Mukherjee. Today Jammu and Kashmir is connected with the whole of India and Article 370 has been repealed, It is the result of Mukherjee ji’s determination, sacrifice and his courage.

Remembering Shyama Prasad Mookherjee on his death anniversary he said, Mookherjee was illegally arrested in 1953 for entering into J&K without a permit. “Why need a permit for entering one’s own country?’’ he asked. He said Mookherjee was jailed illegally at that time and later, he had to sacrifice his life in J&K for the welfare of people.

He also remembered the role of Pt. Prem Nath Dogra in the nationalist struggles in Jammu & Kashmir.

He said India is celebrating nine years of PM Modi’s rule.  He said there is not even a single corruption allegation against Modiji in 9 years of governance as it has worked hard to end corruption in the system.

The Modi government has reached every needy person who was neglected for all previous years, while he counted the major development works in J&K undertaken recently. He said that J&K has progressed on the path of development.

Whole J&K population is getting the benefits of Ayushman Gold Card. He mentioned the Tirupati Bala ji temple, which has been opened recently.

He said gone are the days, when the three families would rule and ruin J&K.

He said from 1947 to 2014, 42,000 people were killed in J&K, during the period the families—Gandhi’s, Abdullah’s and Mufti’s were ruling J&K.

 “On August 5, 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a big step and removed Article 370 forever and fulfilled Mukherjee’s wish,’’ he said.

Due to Article 370, Gurjar, Pahari and tribal brothers were not getting their rights. The Modi government removed Article 370. Now everyone is getting equal rights here. Modi ji has done the work of doing justice to everyone by abolishing Article 370.

He said Jammu is witnessing great development and that multi-crore projects were inaugurated in the city today. The Home Minister said that BJP tightened the noose on terrorism and today “terrorism is on the death bed.”

Modi ji is currently on a state visit to America. After many years, America has made India a state guest. The respect Modi ji is getting there, is unprecedented.

He said during the UPA’s 10-year rule, there were 60,327 terrorism incidents. During Modi’s nine-year rule, 2350 incidents were there, terrorism is at its low-water mark. 2056 people were killed in UPA whereas 377 persons were killed under the Modi government.

He said since the removal of Article 370, there were only 32 calls of strikes while stone pelting declined by 90 per cent. “Youth of J&K have replaced stones with laptops and books,” he said.

He said last year, for the first time, 1.88 crore tourists visited J&K. Urging Jammu’s support for Modi 2024 parliamentary polls, he said.

Government jobs were distributed with transparency, heavy industrial packages to strengthen youth. Handed laptops instead of stones to youth.

“We will win over 300 seats in the 2024 polls,” he said. He said the G20 summit in Srinagar from May 22 to May 25 this year, was a “grand success.”

Mentioned G-20 Sammelan and appreciated the efforts of LG and security forces. “Every foreign dignitary has gone back to their respective countries with the message of peace and a changing Kashmir post the abrogation of Article 370,” he said.

The Panchayati Raj system is strengthened with thousands of public representatives to raise the voice of people.

New Medical colleges, nursing colleges, degree colleges, engineering colleges, IIT, IIM and multiple development project works.

“If Article 370 is to be removed, we will oppose, if Ram Mandir is to be built, we will oppose, if triple talaq is to be removed, we will oppose. While protesting, it has become the very nature of Rahul Gandhi to protest”, he said and stated that there is no comparison between Rahul Baba and Modi ji.
