Panaji (Goa) [India], August 29 (ANI): Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday said that under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Swayampurna Goa campaign, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will address the people of Goa virtually and over one lakh people will attend this programme’s live streaming. He added that the live streaming will be done for farmers.
“Under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Swayampurna Goa campaign, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will address the people of Goa virtually. More than 1 lakh people will attend this program’s live streaming…This live streaming will be done for all farmers…This will benefit farmers and rural development agencies of Goa and we are working on mission mode for Swayampurna Goa, for self-reliant Goa,” said the Chief Minister.
Earlier on Saturday, CM Sawant held a Janta Darbar on Saturday to redress the grievances of state residents.
The event was held in Sanquelim (Sankhali), in the presence of several officials. A large gathering of people was seen at the venue to present their grievances and queries to the Chief Minister. The people met the Chief Minister one by one and put forward their various complaints to him. The CM patiently addressed each grievance and query of the large gathering of people, greeting them and trying to give a resolution to the problem presented.
In the presence of various officials, the CM asked the citizens about their problems and directed them to the concerned official for a speedy resolution. Waiting rooms were made available to the people and queues were formed to facilitate listening to each problem and to make sure that no query goes unaddressed.
The practice of holding a janta darbar, a platform for the people to directly present their problems to officials has been a regular occurrence in Goa. Chief Minister Sawant has held multiple such events for the state’s people. The janta darbar has been held for multiple months in the state, including in February and May of this year. In September of last year, the Goa CM held the janta darbar at Ravindra Bhavan in Sankhali, with other officials also being present to address the various queries of the people. Apart from the Chief Minister of Goa himself attending the various darbars in the state, other state ministers are also instructed to hold similar meetings to make sure the ministers also regularly interact with their constituents and understand the daily problems of the people.
