UP: Two Israel nationals among 35 injured as bus overturns on Agra Expressway
Agra (Uttar Pradesh) [India], October 9 (ANI): Two Israeli nationals were among at least 35 passengers were injured after a bus in which they were travelling in overturned and hit a divider on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in the district, police said.
According to West Agra Deputy Commissioner of Police Somendra Meena, “The incident took place late Sunday night after one of the bus tyres burst at the Agra-Lucknow Expressway. There were 43 passengers onboard the bus.”
The official further said that the bus was en route to Varanasi from Noida when the mishap occured.
Thirty-five passengers were injured in the accident, including two Israeli citizens, he said.
“As soon as we received the information about the incident, a team of policemen reached the spot and admitted the injured passengers to hospital, the police official said.
The injured have been admitted to SN Hospital for treatment while the two Israeli citizens are being treated at the Pushpanjali Hospital.
