Upgrade living standard of marginalized section of society: Manjit Singh
VIJAYPUR, DECEMBER 26: Apni Party Provincial President Jammu and Former Minister, S. Minister Singh today urged Govt to upgrade the living standard of the marginalized section of society.
Addressing a meeting at Gagore village in Panchayat Gadwal in Vijaypur, the Former Minister said that the marginalized section of society felt deprived of basic amenities in view of the ignorant attitude adopted by the authorities towards their localities.
“The economically poor section has remained neglected and they feel alienated by the authorities with regard to the basic amenities. There is hardly proper road connectivity, educational or health related infrastructure in their locality,” he said.
He further said that the unhygienic residential colonies expose the false slogans and assurance of the authorities that they equally treat the people in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The discrimination has rooted from the authorities and is being implemented on the ground by ignoring the social, economic and political section of society,” he said.
He, however, assured the people that the Apni Party believes in unity and equality among all the region and no one has the right to neglect anyone and give preference to others.
“We will provide equal opportunity, development and employment to the people. If we form next Govt, Apni Party is committed to provide 4 cooking gas cylinders every year to each family under Ujjwala Scheme, to enhance widow pension up to Rs 5000, and to implement social security scheme for the upliftment of the living standard of the people,” he added.
