UT Ladakh hosts adoption awareness meet to promote foster care and celebrate family bonds
Leh, November 23: As part of the Adoption Awareness Month, the State Adoption Resource Agency, UT Ladakh, organized a Prospective Adoptive Parents Meet at the Cultural Academy Hall today. The event aimed to promote adoption awareness, dispel myths, and provide a platform for prospective adoptive parents to interact with experts.
Sh. Ram Saran Ji, Integrated Finance Officer from the Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA), New Delhi, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Ms. Tashi Dolma, Director, Social and Tribal Welfare, UT Ladakh, and prospective adoptive parents also attended the event. This year’s theme for the Adoption Awareness Month is “Rehabilitation of Older Children through Foster Care and Foster Adoption.”
The event featured a panel discussion on adoption, foster care, and foster adoption, where experts shared their insights and experiences. Prospective adoptive parents also shared their challenges, myths, and misconceptions about adoption.
The event also included a cultural performance by children from the Lions Club Hostel and Rgaastal, which added a touch of enthusiasm and energy to the occasion.
The event concluded with a token of appreciation being presented to the prospective adoptive parents.
