Uttarakhand CM holds meeting related to action plan of SETU Commission; directs officials to make effective policy
Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], July 24 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday held a meeting related to the action plan of the newly formed Setu Commission in the Secretariat and directed the officials that the SETU Commission should make an effective policy for the coming two years.
While observing the presentation related to the action plan of the State Institute for Empowering and Transforming Uttarakhand (SETU) Commission, the CM said that special attention should be given by SETU to skill development and self-employment.
“Efforts should be made that the youth of the state do not have to go out of the state for employment. Special attention should be paid towards simplification of skill development plans and schemes,” he added.
The Chief Minister said that it should be ensured that whatever action plan is being made, it should be fully visible on the ground in the next two years.
He directed the officials to work on development plans according to their geographical conditions for the development of the districts.
The Chief Minister said that the purpose of the formation of the SETU Commission is to make strong and robust policies in the state, implement the schemes effectively, develop an effective work culture, implement the schemes while maintaining a balance between development and environment and keep effective monitoring on the schemes.
“The Setu Commission should work on such schemes in which the overall development of the state is a priority,” he said.
CM Dhami said that all departments should work on result orientation and good governance-based action plans.
The Uttarakhand CM added that the schemes should be promoted through various mediums so that the last person in the society gets the full benefit of the schemes and simple methods should be adopted for promotion.
“If necessary, a user-friendly portal (user friendly application) should also be created. Technology should be used as much as possible so that the general public knows about their schemes.” CM Dhami said.
He said that work should also be done on creating a data ecosystem in the state so that it is easy to evaluate the schemes and the outcome of the departments can also be monitored.
