Uttarakhand DGP Abhinav Kumar inspects construction work at Police Line Almora

Almora (Uttarakhand) [India], September 27 (ANI): Uttarakhand Director General of Police Abhinav Kumar, during his Kumaon tour, visited Police Line Almora and inspected the ongoing construction works (administrative building, women’s barracks, type 4 houses) on Friday.

During the inspection, DGP Kumar directed the officials of the implementing agency to maintain good quality of construction works and complete the work on time. He also directed SSP Almora Devendra Pincha to inspect the construction works from time to time.

He also took the guard’s salute at Almora Police Line.

The DGP said that at present, many works are going on in the state under police modernization, in which the construction/upgradation of police buildings/offices is also being done. The objective of which is to provide good and well-equipped housing and offices for the police force.

DGP directed all district in-charges to take necessary action, especially for effective control of crimes against women/cybercrime/increasing drug addiction among youth.

Along with this, instructions were also given for effective counseling of youth who have fallen prey to drug addiction to reintegrate them into society.

DGP said that cyber fraud has emerged as a challenge at present, which is extremely necessary to combat. People are falling prey to fraud and losing their lifelong

earnings in one go. Every possible effort should be made to arrest cyber fraudsters by taking prompt action when cases of cyber fraud come to light.

On September 20, DGP Kumar led a crucial meeting regarding the requirement and assessment of machines, equipment and plants under the requirements of the judicial process for the effective implementation of new criminal laws.

Officials of the prosecution, justice department and prison department, including senior police officers, also participated in the meeting.

DGP Abhinav Kumar, while discussing various subjects and giving directions, said that for the effective implementation of new criminal laws, a proposal should be prepared to provide video conferencing systems to all the police stations and equipment such as tablets, body-worn cameras, mobile crime kits, fingerprint scanners, etc., to all the officers from the inspector level to the head constable level.
