“Uttarakhand will emerge as best state of country,” says CM Dhami, announces development schemes

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India] August 15 (ANI): After hoisting the national flag at Dehradun’s Parade Ground on Independence Day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the Uttarakhand will emerge as the best state of the country.

“From the land of Baba Kedar, for the first time, the Prime Minister said that the third decade of the 21st century will belong to Uttarakhand. Today, we have to take oath that in the next 10 years, Uttarakhand will emerge as the best state of the country, as a self-reliant, developed state.” CM Dhami said.

Addressing the public, CM Dhami announced a bunch of schemes to boost the state’s development.

The schemes include developing one local body in each district as a model body, increasing the pension scheme account from Rs 4000 to Rs 6000, to connect youth with skill development schemes, and developing a welfare scheme for senior citizens.

“In every district, we will develop one local body as a model body,” CM Dhami said.

He further announced that farmers doing excellent work in the fields of industry, horticulture, and any other field would be honoured.

The CM promised that the amount given under the Old Age Pension Scheme, Widow Pension Scheme, Divyang Pension Scheme, Grant Scheme to Children with Disabilities from Birth and Pratyakta Pension Scheme will be increased from Rs 4000 to Rs 6000.

CM Dhami also made announcements for the youth, and to cater to their need for employment.

He said that to connect the youth with self-employment, the subject matter of training under the Skill Development Scheme will be determined by the District Skill Development Committee under local requirements.

Addressing the issue of migration, CM Dhami said that a scheme of Rs 200 crore will be started in the fisheries department under Chief Minister Matsya Sampada Yojana to promote proud fish production.

He also said that to provide modern medical facilities to the animal keepers of the state, one model veterinary hospital will be constructed in each district at a cost of Rs 75 crores. About 11 lakh animal keepers will benefit from this.

Promoting the local products CM said that the government will establish the ‘House of Himalayas’ brand.

He further emphasised that the government has been working on many schemes to increase the solar energy production

Earlier, before hoisting the flag, CM Dhami spoke about the death of the Captain in the Doda Terrorist attack

“Captain Deepak Rawat’s sacrifice will not go in vain and we will give a befitting reply to our enemies. The whole nation and the people of the state stand with the bereaved family of the Captain,” CM Dhami said.
