Various activities held in Ramban under Swachhta Pakhwada

RAMBAN, AUGUST 06: The District Administration Ramban, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Choudhary, has taken a significant step towards a cleaner and more sustainable Ramban through its ongoing special sanitation and plantation drives as part of the Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign 2024.


These initiatives aim to enhance cleanliness, environmental standards, and promote eco-friendly practices across the district. Various departments and institutions have actively participated, showcasing a commendable commitment to the cause.


Plantation drives were held under the themes ‘Ek Ped Shaheedon ke Naam’ and ‘Ek Ped Maa ke Naam’ across Panchayats and municipal wards. The Municipal Council Ramban opened a Reuse, Reduce and Recycle (RRR) centre in town and MC Batote, and MC Banihal organized massive cleanups of dumpsites and black spots within their municipal limits.


JK Bank Bibrota Branch engaged in Swachhta Pakhwada activities. The GHSS Gool and other schools in zone Gool conducted plantation drives under the supervision of ZEO Gool. The Government Polytechnic, Ramban and AEO office Batote, also conducted a cleanliness drive.


The AYUSH Department led a Swachhta pledge and cleanliness drive at Government High School Shagan. Various health sector initiatives included activities by Health Block Ukheral, CHC Batote, District Hospital Ramban, SDH Banihal and AHWC Dharam. Sub-Transmission S/D JPDCL office Batote organized a plantation drive and Swachhta pledge.


The District Administration appreciated all participating departments and individuals for their dedication and efforts in promoting a cleaner and greener Ramban.
