Various Agro-Chemical Shops inspected at Budgam

BUDGAM, June 24: In order to take stock of the agrochemicals in the district, Chief Horticulture Officer (CHO) Budgam today inspected various agrochemical shops in the district where registration documents were checked and samples were lifted for laboratory testing.

The CHO directed the Officers of the Department of Horticulture Budgam for surprise inspection of all retail outlets and warehouses of pesticides in the district to ensure that quality pesticides reach the Orchardists.

He called upon the public and said that as responsible citizens, they should be eyes and ears of administration in the field and bring into notice the sale and/or purchase of spurious pesticides if any, so that stringent action is initiated against culprits.

He also instructed all the dealers to strictly comply with guidelines.

The CHO was accompanied by the District Level Subject Matter Specialist, Pathology Budgam during the inspection.
