Various deputations call on Vice Chairperson DDC Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, January 14: A diverse group of delegations called on Vice Chairperson DDC Udhampur Juhi Pathania today at Udhampur and Block Khoon.
The delegations, comprising of PRIs and local residents, highlighted a number of demands including the immediate implementation of new water supply schemes at Sountha, Damunha and Ballian, repairs to drainage systems at RD 1/450 in relation to PMGSY Road from Jaganoo to Fkari, and the addressing of water scarcity in the areas of Ballian and Kharooni.
They also called for the immediate implementation of WSS Deot Bilaspur, starting works on WSS Dhanoo and WSS Jaganoo, and the operationalization of Udhampur Development Authority, which is currently pending in the Udhampur district.
The delegations also discussed other key developmental issues pertaining to their areas and called for prompt delivery of essential services and timely completion of development projects to benefit the local population.
Another delegation met with the Vice Chairperson at Block Khoon and presented several development needs and issues, including the need for uninterrupted power and water supply, foot-bridges, transformers, electric wires and poles. They also called for a mechanism for the approval and permission of construction, reconstruction and alteration of residential and commercial buildings in areas under the jurisdiction of the Surinsar-Mansar Development Authority.
During the interactions, Vice Chairperson Pathania sought the cooperation of PRIs in addressing public interest issues and assured that their concerns would be addressed in a timely manner. She also urged PRIs to act as a bridge between the administration, the general public and government schemes to ensure that all citizens benefit from these initiatives.
