VBSY: Massive public participation defies freezing temperatures in Pattan B’la

BARAMULLA, December 21: Braving freezing temperatures and emphasizing a collective commitment to progress, the residents of Gund-KhawajaQasim Pattan led by Sub Divisional Magistrate Pattan, Syed Faheem today exhibited exceptional spirit showing up in great numbers in an event organized under Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY).

The massive public participation, despite the cold, echoed the collaborative efforts of stakeholders, showcasing a dedication to holistic development. This significant event unfolding amidst chilling winds, stands as a pivotal milestone in regional progress highlighting the resilience and determination of the people in Gund-KhawajaQasim, Baramulla, fostering a vision of a prosperous and self-reliant future.

The Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra successfully covered a total of 402 rural Panchayats and 7 urban Municipalities across District Baramulla. Renowned for its emphasis on progress and development, the Yatra received an enthusiastic reception as it reached Panchayat Gund-KhawajaQasim.

The day commenced with the Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) van, adorned with messages of progress, receiving a warm welcome, setting the stage for an informative and inspiring event. The program was initiated with a video message from the Prime Minister, urging all present to pledge towards building a self-reliant India by 2047.

Accompanied by Chief Planning Officer Baramulla, Javid Ahmad, Assistant Commissioner Development Baramulla, Shabir Ahmad Hakak, and other concerned officers, SDM Pattan inspected stalls showcasing initiatives by various departments. The diverse efforts highlighted the commitment to improving lives and received commendation from the SDM.

Applauding the overwhelming participation, SDM Pattan reiterated the Prime Minister’s vision, encouraging active public engagement in spreading the Yatra’s transformative message. Emphasizing the importance of job-oriented schemes, He urged the youth to become job providers and stressed the significance of quality education in opening doors to diverse career options.

Addressing the challenge of drug abuse, SDM Pattan urged the youth to actively participate in sports for a healthy mind and body. The event witnessed massive participation from the public, representatives, officers, officials of line departments, students, and concerned individuals.
