VBSY: People pledge to promote PM’s vision at Khour
JAMMU, December 25: As part of the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a special VBSY Van arrived at Municipal Committee Khour Ward No. 13 today. The locals and elected PRI representatives welcomed the van.
DDC Vice Chairman Suraj Singh, Tehsildar and Executive Officer MC Khour, Monika Sharma and other sectoral officers were present during the program.
A van displayed a video message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in which he encouraged people to pledge to work for the progress and prosperity of the country. Those in attendance at the event took the Sankalp pledge and expressed their dedication to the cause.
The public also availed free health care services under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), which provides health insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh per family per year. The beneficiaries of different schemes narrated the benefits availed from respective schemes under ‘Mari Kahaani Meri Zubaani’.
The event was highlighted by cultural performances by students of Government Middle School Nikkian, who exhibited their skills and passion through various acts. Representatives from all the line departments also attended the event and presented their stalls, explaining the various schemes and programs run by the government for the welfare of the people. They also distributed pamphlets, posters and exhibits among the public and answered their queries.
The sectoral officers addressed the public and spread awareness about the different schemes launched by the Government of India. Stalls for on-spot registration under PM Vishwakarma and other online services were also set up.
