VBSY reaches 9 more Panchayats of Wavoora Block on Monday, covering 320 Panchayats
KUPWARA, December 18: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), a transformative initiative aimed at saturating government schemes, unfolded across 9 more Panchayats of Wavoora block in Kupwara district on Monday.
The impactful journey has covered 320 Panchayats out of 385 Panchayats in the district till date.
Today, Nine Panchayats including Cheepora B, Cherkote A, Cherkote B, Doniwari, Gogal A, Gogal B, Kanthpora, Kanthpora A, and Kawari were covered under VBSY.
The VBSY events saw enthusiastic participation from the community, PRIs and departments.
Block Development Officer, Wavoora, Towheed Ahmad apprised participants about objectives of the Yatra. He said that the primary motive of the program is to reach out to the people who are left out of the benefits guaranteed under government schemes.
Earlier, the program commenced with the earnest message of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, setting the tone for the Yatra’s objectives. Pledge ceremonies resonated with commitment as participants vowed to contribute to the transformative journey.
Cultural performances by local students added vibrancy to the events showcasing the rich folk traditions of the area. Beneficiaries shared personal stories of how government schemes had positively transformed their lives, echoing the theme ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani’.
As the Yatra is in full swing in the district, one remarkable aspect stealing the spotlight is the integration of drones into the agricultural landscape. The initiative aims to empower farmers with cutting-edge technology, providing them with the tools to enhance productivity and sustainable practices.
People are seen eagerly waiting for the VBSY IEC Vans and the show of drones that have become the Show stoppers. The flying machines are captivating audiences, especially the farmers as live demonstrations are being held throughout the campaign. The focus is not just on increased efficiency but on empowering farmers with knowledge and tools to make informed decisions.
